Privacy Policy

PureFax is an iPhone app for sending faxes, operated by Dao Drops. This policy explains what information the app uses, why it uses it, and the choices you have.

Information we use

• Documents you send. When you send a fax, the PDF you scanned or selected is uploaded so it can be transmitted.
• Fax numbers. The destination number of each fax, so the fax can be delivered and appear in your history.
• An anonymous account identifier. PureFax creates an anonymous account the first time you open it. We don't ask for your name, email address or phone number.
• Fax records. The date, page count, delivery status and any delivery error of each fax, shown in your history.
• Purchase status. Which credit packs you bought, so we can add credits to your balance.

PureFax does not use your location or contacts, does not track you across other apps or websites, and contains no advertising.

How documents are handled

Documents are uploaded only when you tap Send. They are kept in private storage that only your account can access. To deliver a fax, we give our fax provider a link that expires after one hour. Only the PDF format is accepted, and each fax is limited to 30 pages.

Service providers

• Supabase hosts your anonymous account, fax history and uploaded documents.
• Sinch transmits your fax over the telephone network. It receives the document and the destination number in order to deliver it, and may keep a copy under its own data-handling terms.
• Apple processes in-app purchases. We never receive your payment card details.
• RevenueCat verifies purchases so the right number of credits is added to your account.

We don't sell your information or share it for advertising.

Retention and deletion

Your documents, fax history and credit balance are kept until you delete your account. To delete everything, open Settings › Delete Account in the app. That permanently removes your account, uploaded documents, fax history and remaining credits. Deleting the app alone does not delete your account data. You can also email us and we'll delete it for you.

Children

PureFax is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
